The complete bridal trousseau guide: Sameera's 2026 edition for the Egyptian bride
Share
After 28 years of dressing Egyptian brides, we've learned one thing: a trousseau is not a casual purchase.
The pieces you buy today, you will wear for years. So you choose them carefully, and from sources you trust. This guide walks you through how Sameera builds the perfect trousseau.
Step one: choose your fabrics
Egyptian cotton. This is the original fabric Sameera was built on since 1998. Premium Egyptian cotton stays soft and new for years if you care for it. It breathes through the Egyptian summer and warms in winter. For daily-wear pajamas and core pieces, Egyptian cotton is the first choice.
Imported lace. For your premium pieces and special evenings, lace adds a feminine, refined touch. Sameera imports lace only from suppliers we trust.
Viscose and georgette. Very light fabrics, perfect for hot nights and casual home evenings.
Step two: how many pieces
The baseline trousseau Sameera recommends for any bride:
- 4–6 daily pajamas — Egyptian cotton, varied designs
- 2–3 jalabiyas and summer dresses (kāsh) — for guests and Ramadan
- At least one lace piece — for special evenings
- 1–2 shorts pajamas — for summer
Step three: get your size right
Sameera carries sizes XL through 4XL because we committed long ago that every woman should find her fit. If you're unsure, ask in any of our 5 Alexandria branches or message us on WhatsApp.
The Sameera ready-made sets
If you'd rather save time and choose a ready-made set, we offer three:
- 8-piece floral pajama set — for the practical bride
- 4-piece button pajama set — for the modern bride
- 3-piece lace robe set — for the romantic bride
