Established 1998 · Alexandria

Twenty-eight years of dressing Egyptian women at home.

Sameera opened its first door in Alexandria in 1998. An abaya specialist on a quiet street, with one rule: only fabric we would put our own name on.

1998 — One door, one promise.

We started in an Alexandria storefront with a single category — abayas. Black, quiet, and made of fabric we had personally tested. We rejected lots others would accept. We still do.

2007 — Bringing elegance home.

By 2007 we opened our second branch — and quietly stepped into something new: homewear. Pajamas. Kaftans. Jalabiyas. Pieces designed for the woman at home, with the same fabric standards we built around abayas. Almost two decades later, this is what Sameera is known for.

In twenty-eight years, we have never stopped opening our doors.

Through every season — and every difficult year Egypt has known — Sameera stayed open. Six stores grew from one through the only marketing we believed in: the woman in line saying try Sameera. Mothers brought their daughters. Now those daughters bring theirs.

  • Fabric, first.

Egyptian cotton from Egypt. Imported softs — satin, georgette, lace, linen — only when we can stand behind them. The price you see includes the cotton. Not markup.

  • Fit, on purpose.

From XS through 4XL — graded, never stretched. The compliment we hear most: how is this so comfortable but still looks structured?

  • Designed and selected.

Some pieces we make. Others we choose — only from workshops we'd put our name on. Every piece passes our standard before it reaches our shelves.
